We have come across this large collection of original letters and photographs that relate to a sailor who trained at Devenport in the early 1920s then on various ships including HMS Hood, he then ended up at Stonecutters Island in Hong Kong at the wireless station, this collection relates to everything before he arrived in Hong Kong (all the Hong Kong items are in a separate auction on ebay) there are 38 letters many with quite a few pages which mostly look to have been sent to his sister (we think !!) also are 28 photographs of various sizes one shows him with his HMS Hood band round his cap, the colletion is in a small red leather briefcase approx 1.5kg in weight i can post cheaper overseas if the briefcase is not wanted as its not in great condition anyway
