A 1953 Penny in uncirculated condition will always be desired by collectors - and we believe these coins will appreciate in value as time, and the realisation of the scarcity of higher grade early Elizabeth II coins, goes by.

1953 pennies were ONLY issued in a special edition of uncirculated sets of coins issued by the Royal Mint in sealed packs to celebrate the new coinage of our late Queen Elizabeth in the year of her coronation. This coin has remained untouched by human hand for 70 years.  The 1953 Penny is indeed a rare coin - just consider that there more than 1000 times more 1967 pennies minted than those minted dated 1953.

The 1953 Penny is the only date in her entire reign to include the words "Britt Omn" (Queen of all Britain) in the legend on the obverse; this obviously makes it a must have coin for all coin collectors searching for one of every different type of coin minted.
