Full set of 4 stamps- 26p, 31p, 37p and 43p. The stamps feature Dracula, Frankenstein, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and The Hound of the Baskervilles.
Postmarked - The Sherlock Holmes Museum, 221b Baker St. London NW1, 13th May 1997. Inside is a black silhouette of Sherlock with a magnifying glass. A fantastic postmark.
Great silk picture on the cover of Ian Richardson in The Hound of The Baskervilles, written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Genuine hand signed signature of Ian Richardson (1934-2007). He was a Scottish actor of film stage and television. He portrayed the Machiavellian Tory politician Francis Urquhart in the BBC's House of Cards (1990-1995) television trilogy. Richardson was also a leading Shakespearean stage actor he appeared in adverts for Grey Poupon Dijon mustard in the United States.
He played Sherlock Holmes in the television versions of Hound of the Baskervilles (1983) and The Sign of Four (1983).
Sadly died in his sleep of a heart attack in February 2007.
