This is an opportunity to bid for this Original Wall Clock that was made in France and dates to around the 1890/1900's. It is made of Pine with a Square wavy edged case which is decorated with a painted border. Behind the glass the painted metal dial is surrounded by a shaped border which is decorated with inlaid Mother of Pearl.The movement is a Good Quality French movement that is in working order, I have the original key and it will run for eight days after it is wound up. It strikes on a Gong, once on the half hour and then strikes the time on the hour.There is a large ring fixed to the back to hang the clock to a wall. and the front is hinged so for access to the winding holes.It measures:- 18.5" (47cm) square and the dial measures 9.5" (24cm) diameter.This is an antique second-hand piece and will obviously have signs of wear, but I can honestly say that there is no woodworm.
