Please Note: If you are interested in collecting Harmony Kingdom, Adam Binder Editions or Fragile World pieces, please select me as one of your favorite sellers on eBay, or contact me about a piece you are looking for, and I will be happy to list it, if I have it.
I have a large selection of pieces in my eBay store, but due to the expense of listing them all at one time, I will be listing only a few auctions each week. I will try and list a variety of pieces each week and hopefully you will find items of interest to you.
This Adam Binder Editions box figurine is named "Ebony Sansukumi". It was hand painted/finished by local craftsmen in the Cotswold area of England.
This is a rare piece with an edition size of only 150.
"The world wide game "scissors, paper, stone" originated from China, invented by warlords during the Eastern Han Dynasty. Instead of paper, they used the open palm symbol to represent cloth, so "Scissors, Stone, Cloth". The game reached Japan in the early 1640s and one variation was the "Snail or Slug, Snake, Frog" variation. In this variation, the Frog is afraid of the Snake, the Snake is afraid of the Snail or Slug and the Snail or Slug is afraid of the Frog. This is influenced by the Sansukumi way of thinking where it keeps the 3 objects in a deadlock." - Adam
