An early Doulton Lambeth vase of good size and pleasing shape. The vase sits on a rounded foot with the main body divided into panels by two horizontal rows of applied beads and carved vertical lines - the area within the panels is filled with stylized foliate decoration - there is further incised decoration to the neck of the vase.
To the base of the vase is the impressed Doulton Lambeth rosette mark and the impressed date - 1879 - also present is an incised mark which we believe to be for the artist William Parker.
