It features two opening glazed doors with bevel edged glass and brass handle. The interior has four drawers surrounding a central area for a tobacco jar. Below is an open area for storage. The doors have pipe holders for 6 pipes in total. The cabinet can be freestanding and it also has holes in the back for wall hanging. As well as for the original purpose these cabinets can be used for many purposes. It also has a working lock and key. Lovely colour patina with rich golden orange tones and distinctive grain pattern. A good quality example. Condition Typical period wear, some marks in places including dark circles to the top. One of the screws holding the pediment is a replacement. No tobacco jar present. There were probably two small finials either side of the pediment which are not present. Some of the nails holding the back panel seem to be replacements. Lock, hinges, handles all working correctly.
