The case incorporates some incredible brass detailing and is finished off with lovely brass finials. A lovely feature is that the movement is lovely being quarter striking with a 'ting tang' strike. If you are looking for an exquisite clock, this one will surly fit the bill. The clock is in perfect working order having been professionally cleaned and serviced. The top has a lovely Architectural pediment which has an wonderful panel of embossed brass. The top is then finished with three lovely turned finials. The door with lovely thick bevelled glass framed in brass, opens to access the dial which is in perfect condition. The dial is silvered and beautifully etched with Roman Numerals with small Arabic numerals above, between the numerals is further beautifully etched. It is finished with a super pair of shaped fingers. Below the dial is a further superb panel of embossed brass. The door is flanked by lovely brass carved columns, again the attention to detail is outstanding. The sides are very nicely detailed. There is a lovely Lyle fretted door to the rear lined in red fabric, the door is opened by a latch which is fully working. The case is in lovely condition, and has a lovely rich patina. It is very difficult to convey through photographs the level of fantastic workmanship which has gone into this clock. But as you will note from the photographs there are fine brass detailing which set the clock of wonderfully. The clock has recently been cleaned and serviced and as such the movement is immaculately clean as can be seen in the photographs and is happily ticking away and keeping good time. The clock chimes one 'ting tang' on the quarter past, two 'ting tangs' on the half past and three 'ting tangs' on the quarter to. Finally it then strikes the hours on the hour. The movement is access via a door to the rear this has a lovely fretted panel which is lined in red fabric. The movement is stamped with with the '65817'. In addition this clock comes complete with it's winding key and pendulum. DIMENSIONS The approximate MAXIMUM dimensions are: - 11 inches (28 cm) wide. - 7.5 inches (19 cm) deep. - 19.5 inches (49.5 cm) high. AGE: The clock is Victorian.
