Reeded columns which terminate in brass capitals flank the hood door. To the rear are straight back splats. The door is mahogany cross banded and above the door mahogany veneered. If we then move down to the trunk it has a wide banding of mahogany inlay and a circular fan inlay to the centre. The door is also complete with its lock but there is no key. The door is then flanked by quarter reeded columns which terminate in brass capitals. Finally the base has canted corners and a lovely shaped inlaid banded of mahogany. The base is raised on a plinth base. The dial is a Period 1 Wilson dial with makers name of ‘Jn. Chambler, W: Hampton’ and has the four corners adorned with wonderful honeysuckle and flowers. The makers name is very faded but can just be made out. The arch is adorned with a beautifully painted cherub. There is subsidiary second dial and date aperture.
