Check out this beautiful Antique Tourte violin Bow for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself!
It appears the bow is made of brazil wood. Has a complete shaft that is six sided, not just by the frog as 95% of bows are made. This is a Tourte bow made in France, not a Saxony or German bow marked Tourte. There is nothing noted on the shaft under the frog.
Minor loss of the finish along the shaft. Nice looking frog on it. No cracks, splits or missing pieces to the ebony, mother of pearl or other materials. The bow has no cracks, splits or repairs to the wood that I can see to report to you. Great "TOURTE" impression on the shaft above the frog. The bow still has a great finish on it. Good camber. Strong flex to the shaft and I can ascertain no warping, splits or repairs to report to you. The bow has no leather or meatal winding on the shaft. Beautiful tip on this violin bow as well. There is old horse hair on the bow and it will need to be rehaired.
The mother of pearl inlays are in place on the sides of the frog and along the bottom. Appears to be a silver end screw. The bow is 28.5" (723.9mm) long. The bow weighs 2.3 ounces (65.2 grams) with no horse hair on it. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.

Returns Policy
- Returns are accepted by seller within 14 days of receipt of item by buyer. The Buyer will be assessed a 10% restocking fee should they decide to return this item for whatever the reason. .
