Inset green Baize writing surface. The single drawer with a felt pad on its top edge pulls out to support the fall. Round Copper ring handles on the drawer front. The detachable superstructure on the back with Moorish style turned details. Wooden rails run around this top which would have originally held a curtain. The base on square tapering legs on either side of a hollow space below for Books which has Moorish arch details. Circa 1890. Condition Age related wear. Original Baize writing surface stained and worn. Wooden rails on the back may have replaced brass ones. Measurements Width. 23.75". (60 cm.). Overall Height. 54.5". (138.5 cm.).
