Here we have a lovely French Antique Bracket / Mantel Clock which strikes on a bell. The clock is being sold requiring restoration. The movement is stamped with ARERA. Also on the dial which is rubbed but the first part appears to read ARERA but please see close up to judge for yourself.
Arera was a French clockmaker, based in rue de la Barillerie. Arera seems to have had an exhibit in the 1851 Great Exhibit of the Works of Industry of All Nations:

The approximate MAXIMUM dimensions are: 13 3/4 Inches / 35 cm wide x 4 3/4 inches / 12 cm deep x 15 inches / 38 cm high
The case has age related marks as can be seen from the photographs and thee are several holes to the top which would indicate that something is missing off the centre of the top, which can be viewed in the photographs. The hour hand is missing. There is no winding key. Please study photographs carefully as they form part of the description and condition, as what you view is exactly what you will receive.
