Post Medieval Rowel Spur Terminal With Spur 17th Century Metal Detecting Find
The object is a rounded oval, D shape in section. A rowel spur was fixed to the heel of a rider and used for directing the horse and encouraging it forwards. The metal is a mid green bronze in colour with a mostly smooth patina.
