A rare and desirable 10 x 8 satin-finish alternative white spacesuit photo of Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 11 Lunar Module Pilot (LMP) with LM model against a lunar backdrop – NASA image S69-63724. The photo is on Kodak Professional paper. Buzz has very nicely and prominently hand-signed the photo in blue pen "Buzz Aldrin".
Apollo 11 launched on July 16th 1969 and became the historic first mission to land humans on the Moon. On July 20th 1969, nineteen minutes after Neil Armstrong, Commander first touched the surface, Aldrin became the 2nd man on the Moon. His first words on the lunar surface:
Aldrin: Beautiful view.
Armstrong: Isn't that something? Magnificent sight out here.
Aldrin: Magnificent desolation.
The mission splashed down in the Pacific Ocean on July 24th 1969.
