Seller: antiquedickantiques (750) 100%, Location: Watlington, Oxon, Ships to: GB, Item: 252661080166 A nice early 19th Cent longcase clock displaying the age of the moon to the arch. The nicely proportioned case is in oak with extensive mahogany decoration and inlay. It is by Benjamin Harlow of Lane End, Staffs, he is listed as working there from 1813 It is essentially complete but needs some light restoration. There are some pieces of moulding and one foot detached but these are present and just need gluing back on. The movement appears complete except for the bell that is missing (available on eBay). It runs for a short while and strikes and the moon mechanism is present and partially working but it now needs a good service. The 13" dial is a bit faded and could do with a re-paint and the date dial is not working. When done you would have a clock that would retail for around £1500 - £2000. The maximum dimensions are: 222cm (87.5") high 53cm (21") wide 24cm (9.5") deep Free local delivery (30mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost.
