The mark indicates that the mechanism was built by Jules Rolez Paris and works perfectly. The gong sounds the half-hour and hour and the sound is very soft. The dial is glazed and decorated with floral motifs. The glass, content in a brass frame, is bevelled. Unfortunately, the key is not original. The clock is contained in the base of onyx that also supports the figure of the maiden resting on a rock while going to take spring water. Behind this figure is a brand with a melting pot on the fire surrounded by the words "Fabrication Francaise, Made in France, Paris".The two figures that flank the main one are two maidens of which one has in one hand grain freshly cut with a small scythe which has in the other hand. On the basis there is a plaque with the inscription "La moisson", the harvest, and the name of the author who is the famous French artist Auguste Moreau, Dijon, 22 February 1834, 11 November 1917.In the back there is the same brand that is on the main figure and on the other. The basis of this figure has a foot that has suffered a break and was restored, as you can see from the photographs. The other figure is a maiden that has a bird on a hand and an object of square shape in the other hand.Unfortunately the plate on the base is missing and this, together with the leg restored, are the only faults with this clock garniture, very hard to seeThe central figure with the clock is 47 cm high. The base has the maximum dimensions of 31x17 cm. The diameter of the clock is of 9.5 cm. The two figures of maidens are high cm 38. The maximum dimensions of the bases are cm 15x13. The total weight of the three pieces is of 13.20 kg before packaging.Thank you for reading this description Condition: Good Condition, Age: Antique, Post-1900, Type: Clock garniture, Style/ Origin/ Theme: Edwardian, Material: Onix and spelter, Features: 8-Day
