Seller: lancs1848 (781) 100%, Location: clitheroe, Ships to: Americas, Europe, Asia, Item: 142194241596 A Fabrique en France clock movement which I bought in Brittany some ten or so years ago. It rests in a hand made wooden frame. The man from whom I bought it explained that hisfather had rescued it from a fireplace where it was embedded, intending to do something with it, eventually, but had never "got around to it"! It bears the folowing on the face: "Pronost Freres Brest". This is probably not the manufacturer simply the firm which put a face upon it. The movement which workd but intermittently, winds up perfectly, as does the spring for the chime. This is quite quiet but would be louder given a sound box! The movement measure about 3.5 " [9cm] and the face about 5" at its widest point. The back of the movement bears the number 2732 halfway down the left hand side. At the bottom in a circle there is "Fabriqu en France", I think and the numbers 3 and 7 on either side. The item weighs about 2kg with some decent packaging. Postage outside Europe would be 27 pounds, for insured postage up to 250 pounds. Condition: The movement is working int he sense that it can be wound up and the pendulum swings. It is a tad temperamental and probably needs some adjustment and/or a good clean.
