I have here for sale a book entitled THE MEADOWS OF GOLD - THE ABBASIDS by MASUDI - ' Written in the 10th century, Masudi's Meadows of Gold is the liveliest and most readable of the mediaeval Arab histories. It covers the period from the Creation to 956 AD. Masudi who travelled widely in both Islamic and non Islamic lands, wrote this work as an addendum to his earlier works. he builds his narrative from a series of telling and often amusing anecdotes which, in addition to making entertaining reading, provide a considerable amount of ancillary social history recorded from the point of view of an eye witness.'    Bound in burgundy linen boards. It has its original dust jacket. Both the dust jacket and book are in fine condition. 469pp 25cm x 17cm Postage and packing : I know that you will be looking forward to receiving your order, each book is carefully wrapped in packing paper ( I have changed from bubble wrap to try and reduce my use of plastic) and posted in a Jiffy bag if size permitting, if not it is double wrapped in corrugated cardboard, brown paper and then securely taped.  To keep the cost of the postage down to the most economical level per book, you may consider buying more than 1 item from my eBay account.
