This vinyl double LP gatefold edition of Jimi Hendrix's "The Singles Album" on Polydor ( Catalogue Number PODVC 6 - 2335 268) is a must-have for any fan of the Jimi Hendrix Experience brand of 1960s acid rock, and blues, which still sound good today. Featuring hits like "Purple Haze", "Hey Joe," "Fire" "Voodoo Chile", " Angel" and "Little Wing", and their well known B-sides such as "Burning of the Midnight Lamp", come in this first edition release from 1983, which is in Very Good/Very Good Plus condition. I've had this for 40 years as it was bought as a Christmas present. Recently play tested again 100% on all 4 sides and Side One is almost perfect. Side Two has some obvious crackle at high volume through headphones, particularly on the first two tracks. Side Three has an imperfection on Track 2 (Angel) - sounds like a scratch which causes a bit of pop, noticeable because the track is quiet. Continues a little bit on Track 3, but because that's louder it's less noticeable. Side Four doesn't appear to be marred by any faults apart from the odd bit of crackle. The cardboard sleeve/cover is reasonably well preserved and is in Very Good condition with afew marks on the cover and 'dints' on the outer corner edges where it's been handled and stored. Inside the gatefold is fairly grubby on the edges. One of the paper inner sleeves is slightly stained but no tears, rips, etc on that or the other one (which is slightly brown with age). See pictures for condition described above.
Overall I'd describe the whole 4 record package as Very Good/Very Good Plus and have mid-priced it to reflect the condition.
