This is a vintage Kay or Stella A-Style Mandolin from the 1920s - 1930s . I am not 100% sure who made this, because it is unmarked. It comes with its original case , which has some damage and is not fully closable.  The mandolin is in great working condition and plays very well. It has it's original pickguard, tuners, bridge/tailpiece, saddle and frets. The oval soundhole is surrounded by a three-part inlaid ring. The binding on the top edge is white celluloid next to a three-part wood binding.  The top is solid spruce and is in very good original finish and condition. The  back and sides are dark-stained solid maple. There is one repaired crack that runs up and down on the treble side on the back board. There is also a small crack on the bass side that runs up about 4". Both cracks are visible in the pictures. There is a stenciled decoration on the back that runs from the top to the bottom. This was likely added later when the mandolin was repaired. The tuners are all original and are in very good working condition. The tuners and tailpiece have some tarnish.  Size and Specs:
