Product Information Levington Orchid Compost 8 Litre Bark & Peat Free Draining Plant Potting Blend Levington is the premium brand of compost as used by many professional gardeners and growers. Through a wealth of knowledge gained over 40 years of research, we have developed a unique combination of ingredients for Levington. This compost is enriched with all of the essential plant nutrients, to support stronger, healthier plants. Levington Orchid Compost has a bark free draining structure for healthy growth. Essential Ingredients: Bark - gives an open structure to the compost and ensures good drainage. This free draining blend makes Levington Orchid compost the ideal environment for growing healthy orchids in:

•     Pots
•     Tubs
•     Hanging Baskets

How to use: Use the compost directly from the bag. Do not mix with other materials. Firm only lightly. Re-potting: After 2-3 years most orchids will have filled their pot and will need re-potting.

1.     Remove the plant from it's existing pot.
2.     Divide the plant if appropriate
3.     Remove any dead roots.
4.     Select a new pot that is one size larger (or smaller containers for each division) and cover the base of the pot with broken crocks or gravel.
5.     Add a layer of Levington Orchid Compost.
6.     Place the orchid in the pot so the crown is just below the rim.
7.     Place more compost between and around the roots, tapping the pot to settle the compost.
8.     Water thoroughly with clean, tepid rainwater. Support with a cane if necessary
