Vintage AVIAKIT black leather biker jacket made by Britain's oldest motor cycle clothing company, LEWIS LEATHERS.
Style: Monza 34” Chest
This was my first bike jacket and I bought it from the Lewis Leather shop in Sheffield in 1980. It cost me 2 weeks wages at the time when I was a Student Nurse!
The jacket is well worn and pleasingly aged with the wear and tear expected from a bona fide biker's jacket. Needless to say there are some scuffs and grazes but the jacket is intact and there are no holes or rips. The red quilted lining although grubby, is intact. The jacket is adorned with original rally badges, carefully pinned so they don’t damage the integrity or waterproofing of the jacket. This jacket despite being 33 years old has remained uber cool over the years and could be worn as a period bike jacket or a fashion item for those who dare to be that little bit different!
All zips fully functioning
All original ‘ball end’ zip pulls intact
The AVIAKIT label is slightly worn, but this IS a genuine Aviakit, and the label is worn for genuine reasons.
The iconic LEWIS LEATHERS oval gold label patch is visible on the outside of the jacket.
CHEST: 17 INCHES (measured across the front of the jacket, laid flat from armpit to armpit)
SLEEVE LENGTH: 17 INCHES (Measured from the armpit to the end of the cuff)
LENGTH: 23 INCHES (Measured from the collar seam at the back of the jacket to the hem)
