Seller: quentin02 (434) 100%, Location: Sheffield, Ships to: Free Local Pickup, Item: 132006180242 Here we have an early 19 century oak and boxwood inlayed 30 hr longcase clock by Robert Holgate SAGAR who according to G H Baillie was working in Blackburn around 1824.The clock has a 14" square white painted dial with floral decoration to each corner and broken arch pediment and circular columns mounted in brass fittings. It stands 84"tall from the floor to the top of the finial. The trunk has fluted columns to each side and a long slender door with lock and key. The oak base side panels are replacements to match the original panel thickness.The clock is complete with pendulum and strikes the hour on a bell.
