A Stunning pair of Masonic Cabinets portraying Garibaldi an Italian General who later became a Grand Master by decree, Superb library Cabinets here of a most important type, new to the market and in such fine condition and of post Italian revolutionary period Mid 18th Century, very generous proportions indeed while in the most typical Italian Marquetry of the period depicting Garibaldi with regalia, well carved and Gilt mount surrounds with superb decorative swag inlay on rounded panels, free standing items here having good generous supports, while comprising inner shelves, large celeret and good outer finish doors with lovely period inlay throughout, a pair of most rare interior classical design items here while having such a fantastic history and depicting one of the most famous characters of the Spanish independence period, with such contemporaries of the period when these cabinets were made his confidants like Dumas ( Count of monte Christi ) and playwright Victor Hugo the author of ( Les miserable ) by his side who helped him through his most difficult periods of his life, the Garibaldi cabinets are in a most typical style of the period, with some very decorative intricate design features which truly compliment them very well indeed, please note these are of a good size and would suit any modernist / period conscious style living arena, the cabinets are adequate for any medium to large open interior, well finished and very well presented, items that meets a lovely period finish, high decorative Italian furnishings and one we particularly recommend for purchasing, a superb rare pair of design neoclassical cabinets here, quality mid 18th century furniture and items that would look fantastic as a centre piece for that period living arena.
