Seller: clockbuster (627) 100%, Location: Sheffield, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 262704497693 MONUMENTAL BOULLE CLOCK ON ORIGINAL BRACKET CONSOLE This is a very fine and impressive French Boulle bracket clock complete with its original bracket /console dating from the second half of the 19th Century which is in truly exceptional condition.. The French were masters of the technique Boullework, a technique of finely cut brass and stained marine shell inlaid into each other . These veneers are used extensively both on the inside and outside of the case to produce the effect you see in the photographs. However during the passage of time these veneers are prone to lifting and separation , particularly on the curved surfaces and due to this process sections of inlay are often missing. This clock is in virtually perfect condition with no losses . The bright red colour is deep and vivid and all brass inlay highly polished .The ormlou mounts have been cleaned and retain all their original gilding. It is as well inlaid on the inside the clock as it is on the external services. The whole effect is simply stunning and is well represented in the photographs. The French square plated 8 day movement has also been renovated and is in perfect working order. There is a sunburst pendulum visible through the glass. This is a very large and impressive clock being a total of 58 inches tall , 20 wide and 8 1/2 inches deep. The clock itself is 43inches tall \nd the cast dial is 10 inches in diameter.nd deep. Although the images are accurate a personal viewing is highly recommended to see how stunning this item is in real life. The clock is genuine in every way and I a full money back guarantee to this end.Any expert appraisal is recommended. .This clock certainly needs no restoration and is ready to be displayed in any property.. This clock represents outstanding value for money and is one of the finest examples I have come across. Any potential clients are very welcome to view the clock prior to purchase (or pay on delivery)to ensure that they are satisfied with their purchase. If the buy it now price is paid in full then I will deliver and set up the clock free of charge to the English mainland,Wales and the Scottish lowlands.I will also provide a 12 months guarantee under these circumstances. This is the same service that is provided by a high street retailer without the customer having to pay for the overheads If a lesser off is accepted then this will be sold as a trade sale with the clock as described and with shipping costs the responsibility of the buyer. I will ship this clock worldwide . UK buyers are asked to use alternative means of payment to Pay Pal if at all possible. My contact details are at the very bottom of my listings should any interested parties wish to get in touch directly This is a large and delicate clock and would be better if shipped by a specialist antique shipper but I will use UPS (if possible )for a cheaper option if the buyer prefers. Professional shipping prices will be approximately twice the prices quoted below and in my view well worth the extra money spent Guesstimate prices for UPS shipping is as follows; Europe £85 USA £200 Asia and Australia £350 All good must be paid for in full prior to shipping. Domestic buyers are asked to use alternative methods of payment to Pay Pal if at all possible Wire transfers are welcomed from all countries. Ebay now charge 10% on shipping plus Pay Pal fees. These charges will be added to the shipping costs. All goods will be shipped within five days of payment. Collection is available by prior arrangement All goods paid using Pay pal will only be shipped to the pay pal confirmed address All goods will be shipped by courier ie UPS,DHL,Fed Ex or similar and will be tracked and signed for.I will not ship unless it is tracked and signed for. If you wish to use your own courier I will do all I can to assist. I only charge actual costs incurred for shipping BUT I will use a large box with plenty of packing to avoid damage and this will make shipping (particulary to foreign countries) a little more expensive due to volumetric weight. Custom made boxes, bubble wrap and peanuts all cost money and the cost of these materials will be added to the cost of shipping. For example a Vienna wall clock costs me £15 in materials.I do not charge for my time for packing. Every care will be taken when packing but no liability will be accepted for damage by the couriers and it must be remembered that it is virtually impossible to guarrantee 100 percent that a peice of glass may not be damaged on the odd occasion. Insurance is a difficult and expensive area with respect to antiques and usually has a low ceiling that is why I use recognised tracked and signed for couriers and do not insure seperately. If you wish to seperately insure your item I will do all I can to assist but the responsibility to arrange the said insurance is with the buyer It is requested that all buyers contact me within 24 hours and pay in full within 7 days unless a prior arrangement is made Please do not agree to buy something unless you intend to pay. Goods will not be despatched unless paid for in full. If you see a listing when you are financially indisposed the speak to me as we can probably arrange something to our mutual satisfaction. I have no intention whatsoever rip my customers off and I ask that any buyers afford me the same courtesy. Reputations take a lifetime to build and can be lost overnight.
