The # number is from the POT - LIDS book by K.V. Mortimer 2003 edition.  These 19th Century antique Prattware pot lids were on jars of anchovy paste, relish and bears grease and were not only thrown out to the rubbish dumps but some were collected by the Victorian's and Edwardian gentry folk. They often put them in wood frames to be hung on their walls as decorative ornaments. Some will display better in a frame too as they may well be damaged on the back flange or the under edge of the top rim. You will notice some of these lids have bases, the bases may not be original to the lid but were with the lid when I got them from the last collector.  Some folks are fortunate to dig antique bottles, pot lids and jars up and class them to be common whereas other folks do not see them as often so these make for a good display in a modern home for the collectors world wide.  This lid is titled Wellington with Clasped Hands. He is wearing the order of the Golden Fleece round his neck. Comes in an old wooden frame. Please see close-up photographs provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition for yourself. There are normal signs of age and use wear including surface scuffs, impact marks, glazing cracks, or dirt etc. The back is covered with a panel of wood so I can't see the condition of the back of the lid. There is a glazing error down the right hand side. Looks like there is a crack down the centre. There are a few scuffs and knocks on the wooden frame. It measures approx. 6 inches in diameter in total. My stock ref : #T376/19823 in pot lid cabinet. Most of my items are sent using the Global Shipping Program due to Royal Mail being really quite useless at actually delivering parcels worldwide which gave me and my customers a truly diabolical service in the last year. However if you are bidding on a number of items and you want to COMBINE shipping then please eBay message me and I may be able to change the shipping option for you.   To see ALL my other 6000+ items for sale: please click on the  VISIT SHOP or click "see other items", strangely both only have a limited view of what I have to offer on each platform so to see everything click on Shop by Category which will give you a much better view. Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter, or a universal Coke can, and we all know how big those are.

If you see  A/F = a/f in the title or description it means  "as found" condition which may have scuffs, scratches and damage. In relation to all my listings it does not mean " about fine ".  I have used A/F  for " as found " for 45 years.
