WWII 101ST AIRBORNE DIVISION HELMET & LINER SET.
326TH AIRBORNE ENGINEERS. (White Dots indicate 506TH PIR attachment)
HELMET: WWII produced Front Seam. Steel pot is used but very good condition, no major damage, big dents or cracks. The OD paint & texture are new yet has a very authentic look and feel. M2 chinstraps, brass hardware-nickel snaps. custom made. New D-bales are properly spot welded just like originals.
HELMET LINER: WWII Era Westinghouse restored as a Paratrooper liner. Authentic/Original WWII Khaki HBT webbing & A-washers. The Sweatband which is original to the liner, Not an add on, Nape strap is a WWII Original stamped J&J (Johnson & Johnson), Original Liner chinstrap, Liner paint is new, the very same shade as used in WWII. The liner looks and feels very authentic.
Aged/Repro: Chamois lined chincup, A-yokes w/cast buckles. ****A-yokes are made from Original "US GI surplus" OD#7 5/8" webbing.****
ACCESSORIES: Includes an Aged Brown Drawstring helmet net, Original Burlap scrim and Mock Primacord. (If you have the US Paratrooper Helmet book by Michel De Trez, there is an Original 326th on pages 232-233 that is very similar to this one)
ALL PAINTING, Convincing 326th PIR insignias, sewing, Aging & weathering. This replica represents a Combat Worn helmet. This is a must have for your collections, Originals like this essentially do not exist. For maybe £10,000 you might something similar to this.
