Hi there,
I'm selling a really lovely collection of two copies of the Picture Post and a Coronation Picture Supplement by the Daily Telegraph.
The first Picture Post is from the 16th February 1952, 10 days after the King's death.
King George VI was Queen Elizabeth's father; his death triggered her reign.
The magazine is a moment in time, it was only able to pull half the magazine from the printers in time to change the contents.
It tells of a time about to change.
And is in great condition, with great pictures. (The clue is in the name...)
The next copy is March 1st, 1952. And the front picture says it all...
King Charles III, as a rather young man. The heir apparent. 70 years ago...
The article inside is not about Charles but all about his grandfather, George.
There is a family tree showing his line of succession.
And another great photo.
It's a very interesting vintage magazine, but it's the front cover that sold it then, and still now.
And finally, a copy of the Queen's Coronation Picture Supplement by The Daily Telegraph.
There is rip across the front of the newspaper.
Please see the photos and feel free to ask any questions
I know that any one of these of their own is underwhelming, but as a little collection, they are a unique time capsule, as well as a royal memory, and some great photos.
Thanks for looking and i'm always open to reasonable offers
