Seller: decoseek (6,065) 99.7%, Location: raunds, Northamptonshire, Ships to: Free Local Pickup, Item: 291931310401 A rare R Tyzack draughtsmans chair from World War 2. The company had a contract to supply the ministry during the war and this piece is dated 1943. It is interesting to think who sat at the chair and what they did. Tyzack were based in High Wycombe and also made aircraft parts. The chair looks to be oak, not sure, has a leatherette type seat and back rest. Has height adjustable seat and back rest, upholstery is a mauve/ grey colour. In good vintage condition, no worm seen, upholstery showing wear but presentable and authentic, general scuffs etc to wood as expected but looks great as is. Stands approx 36 inches tall, 16 wide at seat. Incised marks are R Tyzack, 1943, GVI R with crown. Wonderful piece, one in not such good condition but probably earlier sold for just under £ 700 recently. This item can be viewed at Up The Junction antiques shop. Glebe Farm Kettering NN168FX.
