DESCRIPTION:-ORIGINAL VERY RARE TO FIND PHOTOGRAPH OF CHRISTS COLLEGE 1st BOAT ROWING CREW,THE PHOTO HAS BEEN HAND FINISHED AND VERY DECORATIVE,ONE OF THE GENTLEMAN IN THE PHOTO IS THE COACH WHO IS J.A.MACNABB WHO ROWED FOR CAMBRIDGE AND WAS ALSO IN THE 1924 OLYMPICS,AROUND 1924 THE COLLEGE ROWING TEAM STARTED WINNING AGAIN AFTER A PERIOD FROM AROUND THE END OF THE 1st WORLD WAR WHEN THEY DID'NT WIN THIS WAS DUE TO THAT SOME OF THE TEAM LOST THERE LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR BUT THEY TURNED IT AROUND WHICH MOST PROBABLY AROUND WHEN J.A.MACNABB JOINED THEM HE WAS A WELL KNOWN ROWER AT THE TIME AND I THINK HE MAY OF WON A MEDAL AT THE OLYMPICS, GREAT QUIRKY DISPLAY OR USABLE PIECE
