For sale is a vintage Stancor transformer, pulled from a WWII surplus amplifier left behind in the WWII radio controls equipment that my late father bought as surplus after the War.  He was an Army Signal Corps Radio School instructor during the War, and bought surplus that he thought he might use some time for parts.   This unit had never been touched after that, but the capacitors were no good, and my husband had to disassemble the unit to get the decent parts off.  He checked out the transformer, and did a bit of research on it for you.  This is some of what he found: DESCRIPTION :  This Stancor transformer was removed from a World War II surplus amplifier, designated AM-115/APX-15A.  The AN/AM-115 amplifier was rated at 115 volts, 400 cycles per second, single phase, and was manufactured by Bell Sound Systems (designated "CQE" on the amplifier nameplate).  Bell Sound Systems manufactured the amplifier for the AN/APX-15, which was an airborne IFF (Identification, Friend or Foe) set, designed for the B-29 Superfortress and for the B-32 Dominator .  These World War II strategic bombers relied on the IFF set, which used radar to analyze pulse returns from the propellers of "bogeys," or hostile aircraft.  (Enemy fighter planes had faster propeller speeds than heavy American bombers.)  Now, you can own a piece of a B-29 tail gunner's radar set, or give it to that guy on your gift list who has everything -- except this!!  For the serious electronics buffs -- this Stancor transformer appears to be a "Combination Plate and Filament Supply Power Transformer."  Its rugged, compact construction features three secondary windings (plate, rectifier and filament), all neatly packaged in Stancor 's deep-drawn TD-style shell, for non-commercial, military use. MANUFACTURER :  Stancor (Standard Transformer Corporation )                                  Chicago, Illinois (The Stancor logo is metal-stamped on the side of the transformer shell.  This is a sign that Stancor did not manufacture the shell, and added its logo afterward.) INVENTORY STATUS :  Pulled from a surplus amplifier (probably never saw service) VINTAGE :  "7-45" ink stamp on the shell many suggest a July, 1945 production date. OTHER MARKINGS :  (Ink Stamp):  B-18500 (Perhaps serial number)                                                          87P48  (Perhaps Stancor Part Number)                                     (Ink Stamp):  The following information in a box stamp:                                                           Transformer                                                           T101                                                           C65123                                                           300020G1                                     (Metal Stamp):  The top of the transformer shell has what appears to be the logo of Continental                                                               Can Co ., which manufactured aircraft parts during the Second World War. MOUNTING STYLE :  Similar to Stancor "TD" deep drawn shell PRIMARY (INPUT POWER) :  Two Primary terminals.  Unknown voltage.  Primary winding measures about 1.9 ohms. SECONDARY WINDINGS :  Three secondaries, which appear to be rectifier, filament, and plate supply windings.                                     1)  5.0 volt winding (2 terminals), unknown current rating.  Winding measures about 0.1 ohms.                                     2)  6.3 volt wining (2 terminals), unknown current rating.  Winding measures about 0.1 ohms.                                     3)  Center-tapped 350 volt winding (3 terminals), unknown current rating.  Winding measures                                          about 137.9 ohms, overall. TERMINATIONS :  Solder hooks (all require de-soldering) FINISH :  The transformer seems to be finished in light gray enamel paint and overcoated with a thin layer of Cosmoline rust inhibitor. NOMINAL DIMENSIONS :  About 3-3/8" high with a 2-1/2" x 3" base, including the flanges. MOUNTING :  Designed for through-chassis mounting to accommodate terminals.  Two opposed mounting flanges, each with 3 mounting holes (or 6 mounting holes in all).  The 3 holes on each flange are spaced about 2-11/16" from the corresponding holes on the opposite flange.  The holes on each individual flange lie along a straight line and are about 7/8" apart.  Mounting holes accept #8-32 machine screws.  CONDITION :  As found, as is, and as photographed.  Minimal wear from handling and storage (see photos).  Other conditions as noted above.  Seller did not apply power or heat to the transformer.  This electronic artifact is non-returnable.  APPLICATION :  Buyer must determine proper application of this electrical device before purchase, and assumes full responsibility for its use. WHO WANTS THIS??    Public or private museums, collectors of Stancor products, radio amateurs (HAMS), experimenters, electronics buffs, historical societies, collectors of WWII militaria, B-29 or B-32 collectors or rebuilders (spare parts), laboratories, and hopefully, YOU! Wow, that's a lot!  An awesome bit of WWII history in this item!   Even just a cool talking piece to set out for display.  (I am listing other components from this amplifier, and would be glad to combine shipping.  Put the items in My Cart and request a total.)  Thanks for looking here!!
