Rare hand painted teapot with lid by noted postmodern British artist Jane Willingale, who started her line of colorful, glossy ceramics known as "Loudware" in the 1980s. It is signed by the artist on the bottom. It measures about 7" tall with the lid in place and 9" ifrom handle to spout, and it features a bright, multicolored scene of a country town or village which I have to guess must be in England. It's in excellent condition except for all-over crazing of the glaze, which is common for handmade pieces like this and which you won't see unless you're examining it closely. Really beautiful pop art-style piece! I have 2 other pieces by this same artist which I will be listing shortly.
