VINTAGE BAKELITE KODAK SIX-20 BULL’S EYE CAMERA  AND CASE - EXCELLENT CONDITION.

For the discerning collector this is a fantastic opportunity to purchase  a Rare  Vintage Bakelite Kodak Six-20 Bull’s Eye Camera and Case in Excellent Condition.

Some minor cosmetic wear but overall in excellent condition. 

Manufacturer by Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester NY, USA between the years 1938 - 41, the Kodak Six-20 Bull’s Eye is a box camera made of Bakelite.

The shutter has instant and bulb modes, selected by a small switch above the simple meniscus lens with a minimum focus distance of eight feet and a fixed shutter speed. The shutter release is below the lens, and both levers have delightfully Art Deco design personality.  

The viewfinder is only usable for approximating composition and runs along the top of the camera next to the circular metal knob that’s used to advance the film after each exposure. The little nub opposite the braided handle is used to keep the lens level when the camera’s resting on its side for portraits.

As its name suggests, the Six-20 Bull’s Eye is designed to take 620 film which is now obsolete, however, you can still use it with modern 120 film if you roll it onto the skinnier 620 spools. See:

The camera is in excellent condition, the Bakelite body looks great with no scratches, cracks or chips and the lens is clear and fungus free. The viewfinder has several marks that look like they are on the inside but a good clean may prove me wrong. 

The interior of the camera is clean and well looked after.  

The camera comes with take-up spool and brown  canvas bag which is also in very good condition. 

This fine rare camera will make a great addition to any collection including Bakelite collectors.
