Seller: time-2-remember (3,894) 100% Top-Rated Plus, Location: Redhill, Surrey., Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 152316833172 SUPERB ENGLISH ANTIQUE BRACKET CLOCK double fusee, burr walnut, BELL PULL REPEAT INTRODUCTION. This utterly incredible clock dates to the reign of the English King William IV (1830-37) and is one of the finest, twin fusee bracket clocks I have had the pleasure to present for sale. The gorgeous case, veneered with some of the choicest cuts of walnut, has commanding proportions and makes a magnificent addition to even the grandest of settings. Richly French polished and with splendid applied carving it is an opulent setting for the gutsy 5 pillar twin fusee engine within. The clock comes with its original 'London' style pendulum, winding key, backdoor key and is running perfectly, keeping good time and looking drop dead gorgeous! DIMENSIONS. This is a BIG clock at 18.25" high, 15" wide and 7" deep. The dial is 8" across and before wrapping the clock weighs 10kg! MECHANICS. The clock runs for 8 days keeping good time. The bell is struck on the hour only to mark the number of hours and there is a pull repeat cord (with original knob) to the right side. As you will see in the pictures there are 5 knopped pillars and only the best clocks have this number with the vast majority having only 4. CONDITION. The case is in wonderful condition with a fantastic, deep shine and only minor damage to one corner at the back, some slight shrink cracks here and there and a little distress to the roof. The bezel catch has been altered by the addition of a brass 'spring'; the lock for the backdoor doesnt quite catch; the pendulum locking nut has been lost and the dial has slight wear to the Roman numerals. Please have a good look at my pictures and message me for more information. I welcome telephone enquiries too on 07944 975501 (Paul). In conclusion a clock of exceptional quality and aristocratic presence. This handsome clock, though a considered purchase, will be the crown of any collection and a magnificent piece of furniture when displayed... UK postage and other arrangements. I am ahappy to post this clock anywhere worldwide though I shall remove the mechanism from the case for safe transit. It is a little fiddly to replace the mechanism into its case and the buyer should give this some consideration. I welcome viewing of the clock from my home in Redhill, Surrey and encourage its collection in person after the sale. I do not drive and am unable to deliver though will do my utmost to assist the buyer with arrangements he should wish to make. In all matters a simple phone call saves a lot of bother - call Paul on 07944 975501. Relisted due to a non-paying buyer! OUTSIDE the UK. Available worldwide - postage outside the UK exceptionally expensive as this is a heavy item which will require a large parcel and lots of protective wrapping (additional weight). I have provided quotes for some coutries but if unsure then please get in touch for a quote. Thank you for looking.
