The Rugby League Challenge Cup final . Held at the iconic Wembley Stadium. Was a spectacle of skill, passion, and determination from both sides.

The match kicked off amidst a buzz of anticipation from the tens of thousands of passionate rugby league supporters in attendance. Wigan started the game with great intensity. The conversion followed by a penalty. Griffiths had the final word for Wigan with a further penalty. But St Helens captain Vince Karalius lifted the 1961 Challenge Cup. Saints' great Second Row Forward Dick Huddart was awarded the Man of the Match award.
