6m Ozone Catalyst V3 Kitesurfing Kite - Used - Bright Green

THE KSSCO. OZONE CATALYST V3 REVIEW:

We've been using the Ozone Catalyst V3 for more than a year in our kitesurfing school and also for personal riding. It's basically an Ozone Alpha V1 made in extra strong Tejijn triple thread rip stop material. Ozone did away with any version of the Ozone Catalyst V1 and V2, which is a good thing in our opinion as this kite is far superior in feel, flying characteristics and water relaunch. Whoever at Ozone had the idea to pinch the Ozone Alpha V1 and make it their school kite of choice the new Catalyst V3 had a very good idea.

We absolutely love the Ozone Catalyst V3 kitesurfing kite, it's just an absolute pleasure to fly, a real gem, it feels light through the bar, turns smoothly and predictably, flies forward in the wind window, doesn't need a lot of input steering and yet is responsive when you do steer and the water relaunch is exceptionally easy. It's very hard to stall this kite and that's a very good thing, it's got to be really really light winds, less than 9 knots, for that to happen and also have some user error on the bar pressure. As it's one strut, it's literally a lighter kite than most and especially in the larger 12m sizes is exceptional for light wind kitesurfing on either twin tip or foil boards. Although you won't need a particularly big size of the Ozone Catalyst V3 for foiling, they have a deep draft and relatively low aspect and are therefore light but powerful for their size. 

The Ozone Catalyst V3 is a very versatile kite, you'll enjoy it from beginner to experienced twin tipper, the only exception being full on freestylers, who'll want something a bit stiffer and more specialised. It makes an extremely good kite for foiling and also learning to foil with it's light and easy going nature. Boosting is also not bad at all on this high pedigree kitesurfing kite, although if boosting is your main thing, you might want to go for something more specialised like the Ozone Edge V11. The Ozone Catalyst V3 is also very nimble and handy in the waves, and due to it's light weight, it travels really well, for a kite to take on kitesurfing holidays that does everything, this is a top choice. 

You may also want to add the matching Ozone Click V4 Bar  to your purchase. Recommended bar size for 4m, 6m, 8m is 45cm. For 10m and 12m is 50cm. For 14m and 16m is 55cm. All recommended with 25m lines. Contact us to discuss options if you are not sure which bar and lines to pick. Shorter lines give more direct steering and less power. Longer lines give less direct steering and more power.

EASY RE-LAUNCH

Water re-launch is simple, by turning the bar or using the re-launch balls on the leader lines the kite rolls over into the re-launch position.
Our time proven Front Line Flag Out release system is simple and effective, it is the same system featured on our entire water kite range. When the Click-in Loop is released the kite flags out to one front line, immediately releasing all the power from the kite.
