Seller: richard50sale (274) 100%, Location: Sale, Cheshire, Ships to: GB, Item: 252655000737 Likely to be have been made in Egypt in the 1950s, this fine example of hand carved wooden craftsmanship is a rare if not unique piece of furniture. The maker is unknown, as is the type of wood, but it is a substantial heavy piece suitable to rest your feet on or as ornament to brighten up a room. The camel has a linen cover topped with a two toned (brown and tan) leather seat. The leather has a few tiny white spots commensurate with its age (see pics). There is no tail and it does not look like there ever has been. Condition wise, other than a few wear marks to the wood around the feet commensurate with a piece of that age, it looks perfect. Underneath out of sight there is a crack to the wood which could be simply repaired with a staple (see pic). It does not affect the piece and is not noticeable on first appearance and does not affect its purpose as a foot stool. The measurements are as follows: Height 52cm Length 44cm Width 18cm The foot stool is available for collection from Manchester. Although if you want to arrange a pick up by courier that is fine also.
