Here for sale on ebay - a mid-century (early 1940s to 1950s) bedside unit with sliding glass doors. This is a nice clean item. Construction is light oak veneer on ply - made during the post-WW2 austere period - when materials and money were in very short supply. As you can see from the pictures, it is complete with its original glass sliding doors - quite rare to find intact these days. The wood joints are very solid indeed, and the doors slide open and closed easily. There are some chips to veneer here and there, and an attack by woodworm (now dead) - but this just adds to its charmThis is not a new/old reproduction item - but a real retro piece (please study the pictures) which will appreciate in value over time.
