Gorgeous German Walnut Veneered & Mahogany Cased Vienna Regulator Clock by Kienzle (c.1890)
Kienzle Uhren are Germany's oldest watch & clockmakers. The company was founded by Johannes Schlenker in Schwenningen, Germany and have been producing exquisite clocks like this since 1822.
This particular twin train Vienna Regulator style clock is in fine fettle with the odd imperfection commensurate with its age and use. It benefits from a recent service and it keeps good time, striking a coil bar on the hour and half hour. The case has also been cleaned & polished creating the visual delight before you, it retains all of it’s original decorative finials and is crested with an Eagle
The mechanism is marked with an early makers mark for Kienzle dating this to around the later end of the 19thC, it comes with its original pendulum & key and overall it measures, 39”H x 15”W x 7”D.
