Item:273981029352I have for sale a beautiful early 1940s Hayward Bros. of Bath Tameside oak cased station/office dial wall clock, powered by an 8 day wire fusee movement. The oak dial surround and back case are in good condition, having been cleaned and beeswaxed to the standard you see in the photos. To the bottom rear of the back case, a tiny area of veneer shows slight damage, but essentially this is out of sight when hanging on the wall (please see photo 5). The bottom pendulum door works well, snapping closed perfectly. Its 4 original fastening pegs are also present and fasten the dial surround well. The original 12" dial is in a very good clean condition, showing just a few very minor marks and slight fading to the Roman numerals. The brass bezel and glass are in good used condition, the hinge works well with no drop. The Tameside wire fusee movement is clean, has been oiled using correct clock oil, and ticks strongly keeping excellent time over a 24 hour period. The clock comes with it's original pendulum and a winding key. Dimensions are 15 1/2" diameter by 6 1/2" deep. The buyer is more than welcome to collect the clock from my home, otherwise the clock will be well packed in a double walled box and wrapped in thick bubble wrap surrounded in peanut shaped polystyrene, and posted by Royal Mail ParcelForce 48 where the clock is tracked and insured. This is a heavy item, and the postage cost reflects this. If you have any questions relating to this item or any of my other items for sale, please contact me on 07758885795. No international buyers. Thank you for viewing this item.
