Item:274020235462I have for sale a beautiful and original early 20th century mahogany station/office dial wall clock, powered by an 8 day Salisbury chain fusee movement. On the mechanism Salisbury is stamped, this is essentially the same key logo as Smiths use on their fusee mechanisms. The mahogany dial surround and side hinged opening back case back case are in very good condition, having been cleaned and beeswaxed to the standard you see in the photos. The side inspection door operates well, showing the chain fusee mechanism. The original 12" dial is in a good condition, showing a few age related marks as shown in the photos, but this simply adds character and integrity to the clock. The original brass bezel is in a good used condition, the hinge works well with only a slight drop as can be seen from the photos. The desirable and sought after 8 day chain fusee movement is clean, has been oiled using correct clock oil, and ticks strongly keeping excellent time over a 24 hour period. The clock comes with it's original pendulum and winding key. Dimensions are 15 1/2" diameter and 5 1/2" deep. The buyer is more than welcome to collect the clock from my home, otherwise the clock will be well packed in a double walled box and wrapped in thick bubble wrap surrounded in peanut shaped polystyrene, and posted by Royal Mail ParcelForce 48 where the clock is tracked and insured. This is a heavy item, and the postage cost reflects this. If you have any questions relating to this item or any of my other items for sale, please contact me on 07758885795. No international buyers.
