We also sell other diameter hoses in lengths of 1 metre, from 1 to 10m - See our other listings to buy.Just as you would plan a plumbing or electrical wiring installation, we recommend giving plenty of thought to how you build your dust extraction system. For example, take into account the height at which you plan to install the T or Y branches, as these are the best pieces to attach the Shut Off gates to, but you will need to be able to reach the gates in order to operate them (the gate needs to be positioned to slide horizontally, or open upwards). Our range of reducers covers most manufacturers models and are used to step up or down between the hose and the collection point. The table below is a complete reference to help you find the most suitable reducer for your needs. Remember the reducers can fit inside or on the outside of your connection outlet However, its easy to modify or add to your system - just break into the line to make a new connection! One other consideration - when using smaller diameter hoses in the system, e.g. to connect to a machine with smaller diameter extraction outlets, we strongly recommend using as short a length as possible of the smaller hose. This way the maximum airflow, and thus suction, is maintained in the system. Details of Items: DKB Bench Sweeping attachment Make good use of your dust extractor to quickly and efficiently clean work surfaces, benches etc as you work, or at the end of the day. This attachment comprises a lightweight wand made from tough plastic with a removable brush on the collection end. The handle is adjustable to find the most comfortable angle in use. To ensure the collector is always ready for use, a wall bracket is included to stow the attachment when not in use. Please note - we recommend making sure that there are no large metallic objects such as screws in the pile to prevent damage to the dust extractor fan. One hose clip is required to secure the hose to the attachment. DKF Floor sweeping attachment Make good use of your dust extractor to quickly and efficiently clean the floor of the workshop as you work, or at the end of the day. This lightweight yet tough attachment has an opening 150mm x 250mm wide which can be simply moved across the floor, in the same way as a domestic vacuum cleaner. Overall length is 1 metre which prevents the user from having to stoop down when sweeping the floor. For further comfort the handle is also adjustable in position and angle. To ensure the collector is always ready for use, a pair of wall brackets are included to stow the attachment when not in use. Please note - we recommend making sure that there are no large metallic objects such as screws in the pile to prevent damage to the dust extractor fan. One hose clip is required to secure the hose to the attachment. Flat Dust Hood 160mm x 160mm Used to adapt older machinery which did not originally have extraction points fitted or to make collection funnels for other types of machinery. A 100mm hole may have to be made in a suitable part of the machine (please ensure this is away from any moving or dangerous parts) to enable this hood to suck the dust from the machine. The hood can be fixed be fixed to the side of the machine by screws / nuts or if suitable, an industrial adhesive. We recommend sealing the joint with mastic or sealing tape to effect a good seal. One hose clip is required to secure the hose. Flat Dust Hood 310mm x 310mm Used to adapt older machinery which did not originally have extraction points fitted or to make collection funnels for other types of machinery such as lathes. Y Shaped Dust Collection Hood 250 x 110mm A plastic dust collector hood with a wide mouth at one end and a round hose connection at the other. Ideal for Collecting from small lathes, sanding discs or any other machinery which did not originally come supplied with a purpose made dust collection point. Dimensions - Mouth opening 250mm x 110mm; Depth 230mm One hose clip is required to secure the hose. Deep Dust Hood 410x320x260mm Used to adapt older machinery which did not originally have extraction points fitted or to make collection funnels for other types of machinery such as lathes or Radial Arm saws which can be difficult to get efficient extraction from. Dimensions: Opening size 410mm x 320mm, Depth 260mm One hose clip is required to secure the hose. Floor Sweeping Dust Hood 540mm As an alternative to using the floor sweeping attachment for your dust extractor, this collection hood sits on the floor against a wall of the workshop with a hose attached to your extractor. Simply use a trusty broom to sweep a pile of dust and chippings into the mouth of the hood and it will all be sucked away neatly and efficiently. Please note - we recommend making sure that there are no large metallic objects such as screws in the pile to prevent damage to the dust extractor fan. Opening is 540mm wide. One hose clip is required to secure the hose to the hood. Hose Shut Off Gate When more than one hose line has been set up, it is essential to close off all inactive lines to ensure maximum airflow along the active line; this gate is the quickest and easiest method of doing this. The gate needs to be fitted so that the slide operates horizontally, or if vertically that the gate slides upwards to open. The best location for the gate is attached to the Y or T Branches, but ensure the gate can be reached easily to operate it. If fitted between hoses, two hose clips are required to fasten the hoses securely, however we recommend that this gate is attached to the T or Y branch (using the Fitting Connector), as long as the gate can be reached easily to operate it. Quick Connector Fits into the end of a hose and becomes a quick action fitting. Ideal for moving an extractor between several machines with 100mm outlets. Simply screws into the end of the hose and has a tapered fitting at the other end which creates a push fit with any 100mm diameter outlet on machinery. The connector has a right hand thread and is therefore primarily suitable for right handed spiral hoses, however it can be used with left hand hoses as well. We recommend using a hose clip to ensure an airtight seal between the hose and connector. Hose Joining Connector Connector to enable two lengths of hose to be joined together, for example when a run of over 10 metres in length is required. Two hose clips are required to fasten the hoses securely. Fitting Connector This handy product allows you to join two other fittings together without having to use hose, e.g. joining a Y-Piece onto an Elbow, or a Shut Off gate to another fitting. The sleeve is tapered internally so there is no need for hose clips. 90 Degree Elbow When running hose around the workshop, it is sometimes easier to use an elbow at the corners rather than run the flexible hose around. Two 100mm hose clips are required to fasten the hoses securely. Y Piece Branch Splits a hose line into two branches when creating multiple connections. We recommend this fitting rather than a T branch as it gives better airflow than the T. Three hose clips are required to fasten the hoses securely. T Piece Branch Splits a hose line into two branches when creating multiple connections. Sometimes the T shape is an advantage when creating a hose network, however the airflow is not as efficient as with the Y shaped branch so wherever possible we recommend using the Y - Branch. Three hose clips are required to fasten the hoses securely. Hose Wall Bracket The wall hanging bracket enables you to fix a hose line to the wall or ceiling. We recommend using as many as is needed to prevent the hose from sagging along its length, otherwise sawdust and chippings can gather in the dip. Complete with fixing screws and rawl plugs. The Range of Reducing Cones: Reducing Cones are used to step down or up in hose size or for connecting to machinery with different sized outlets. The reducers can be used to fit over or inside the machine or hose, depending on required dimensions. See individual dimensions below: Reducer 100 / 150mm Large cone diameters: Outside 150mm, Inside 144mm Small cone diameters: Outside 100mm, Inside 94mm Reducer 100 / 125mm Large cone diameters: Outside 125mm, Inside 119mm Small cone diameters: Outside 100mm, Inside 93mm Reducer 100 / 75mm Large cone diameters: Outside 100mm, Inside 93mm Small cone diameters: Outside 75mm, Inside 68mm Reducer 100 / 67mm Large cone diameters: Outside 100mm, Inside 94mm Small cone diameters: Outside 67mm, Inside 60mm Reducer 100 / 63mm Large cone diameters: Outside 100mm, Inside 93mm Small cone diameters: Outside 63mm, Inside 58mm Reducer 100 / 58mm Large cone diameters: Outside 100mm, Inside 93mm Small cone diameters: Outside 58mm, Inside 50mm Reducer 100 / 50mm Large cone diameters: Outside 100mm, Inside 93mm Small cone diameters: Outside 50mm, Inside 45mm Reducer 100 / 38mm - 2 pc Reducing cone Piece 1 Large cone diameters:Outside 100mm, Inside 93mm Small cone diameters: Outside 58mm, Inside 50mm Piece 2 Large cone diameters: Outside 62mm, Inside 57mm Small cone diameters: Outside 38mm, Inside 32mm 5pc Reducer Set 100 to 35mm Consists of 5 cones which can be joined and used as a single reducer or split to give a variety of options. We also sell other diameter hoses in lengths of 1 metre, from 1 to 10m - See our other listings to buy. Just as you would plan a plumbing or electrical wiring installation, we recommend giving plenty of thought to how you build your dust extraction system. The hood can be fixed be fixed to the side of the machine by screws / nuts or if suitable, an industrial adhesive. We recommend sealing the joint with mastic or sealing tape to effect a good seal. A Complete range of 100mm Hose, Fittings, Reducers and Attachments to enable you to build your own dust extraction systemAs well as giving some general points to consider, we have included detailed descriptions and sizes of the various items in the listing - although it's a long list, please ensure you read these to enable you to buy the correct ones for your system. The fittings are all tapered to give a snug fit. Hose clips should be used to fasten hoses to the reducer. Can be used to reduce from 100mm diameter hose down to: Cone Number: 1 2 3 4 5 Outside Diameter 104 68 45 40 35 Inside Diameter 100 62 40 34 28 Reducer Cone 150 - 25mm A Stepped reducing cone used to step down or up in hose size and used for connecting to machinery with different sized outlets. This reducer has 7 steps so that any combination of two sizes can be achieved, e.g. to get a reducer from 125mm down to 75mm, simply cut off the unwanted parts, just leaving the middle steps. Hose clips should be used to fasten hoses to the reducer. Step Sizes Outside diameter:150mm, 125mm, 100mm, 75mm, 63mm 50mm & 25mm Quick Release Clip 100mm Hose This ultimate hose clamp has a quick action lever to lock it in place allowing the hose to be instantly released from one machine and clamped onto the next one.
