This 1838 Queen Victoria Sterling Silver Twopence Maundy Style Coin is a great addition to any coin collection.  Made of 0.925 fine silver, (92.5% pure silver) this coin features the young head of Queen Victoria and has a denomination of two pence.  It was manufactured in the United Kingdom and is a product of Great Britain.  I have described the coin as 'Maundy Style'; in 1838 this coin was minted as a general circulation coin in its own right and as a colonial Maundy issue. As far as I know both issues were identical, meaning this could either be part of a Maundy set or a general circulation coin. Most likely, general circulation. The coin belongs to the British and Victoria (1837-1901) era.  It is a great piece of history that any collector would love to have. Add this unique coin to your collection today!
