** Some perfectly reasonable enquiries about whether the car is complete - aside from possible a few nuts and bolts all the trim from bottom of sill etc is present - as far as I know the only thing missing is the front fog lights - the car didn't have them when we acquired it. We do have some fibreglass 'RS' style vents that fit
**** To all interested parties: I have had a multitude of enquiries and offers about a buying the car now - I am sure that they are well-intentioned and I make no criticism of those eager to secure the car, but please note: one of my pet hates is items on eBay that mysteriously become 'no longer available' even when decent souls have taken the time to view and / or bid. This auction will run to the end - there is not and will not be a Buy It Now deal**** *****May I respectfully advise those bidding 'blind' that you are bidding to buy. I will readily avail myself for viewings and am available most days / evenings up to the auction end (barring a few longstanding commitments)***** ******Please also note there is no reserve - the car WILL sell to the highest bidder******
Car had a compression and leak down check at JMG @181696miles - results as follows:comp: cyl 1 - 130 2-128 3-130 4-129 and leak down 1- 45 2-30 3-20 4-28 which I opine reveals the engine to be pretty healthy, with only light wear (I guess cylinder 1's leak down just about be classed as moderate wear but compression check perfectly healthy and even across all cylinders) On the basis of those figures car had around £2500 spent @ JMG - new shocks, transmission input shaft seal, swepco gear oil..... In 2008 at 175000 miles engine had front end overhaul at JMG as well as 9xx flexible rear fuse line kit and 9xx quick shift kit fitted 924 bonnet that suits car well but for those intending to put back to original its probably worth noting the last time I looked 924 Turbo bonnets were selling for around three time the price of 944 oneness The car was painted just before it was taken off the road - unfortunately the rusty sills were not diagnosed before-hand - hence the paint is great and if you were really lucky you might get a perfect paint match as the car has been stored indoors. However, its a flat black which we all know will reveal any flaws so better to bank on full repaint?
Sorry about the typos and spelling! Should read '9xx flexible rear fuel line kit' not 'fuse line'
