Item:163054973921A late 19th century brass mounted eboniezed bracket clock with 8 day movement by W&H Winterhalder and Hofmeier from a private collection. The movement strikes on two gongs and is of the 'ting tong' striking type. Calling the quarter hours and hours. The brass arched dial with silvered chapter ring and black roman hour numerals framing a matt centre with applied silver plaque, inscribed 'Perrett Westton. S.Mare', the case with inverted bell top and flame finial above applied herm columns, glazed front door and cast and pierced fret panels, on a rectangular base and foliate scroll feet. 43cm tall, with pendulum. Wonderful example of a W&H late 19th century bracket clock. Very good cosmetic condition. This has been a well loved and looked after clock. The clock is running very well and keeping good time. There are some minor marks on the case as to be expected keeping with its age. There is a small piece of the edge of the back door missing only a very small piece off one corner, about 2mm thin by 23mm wide, minor. Comes with winding key and a small key for the front and back door. Both locks work. The front door is a little stiff to close fully, you'll need two hands. Perhaps a little wood expansion due to atmospherics. A little wear to the ebonized area where the front key goes. Please study the photos as they form part of the condition report for this item. The movement is also signed on the back plate. I have inspected the movement and applied professional clock oil to the pivot holes. All looks great. Regulation of the clock is done via raising or lowering the pendulum bob. Great clock and a smart investment piece. UK mainland postage will be £20.00. If you are not UK mainland postage may have to be adjusted if I can't find a courier to deliver to a remote area. Or I may use a cheaper longer delivery time. I usually use UPS next day.
