Here is a great mahogany brass bound writing slope, late Georgian / early Victorian. It's closed measurements are 50cm long, 25cm wide, 18cm deep. Open it measures approx 50cm x 50cm, so quite a large slope, all it's brass binding is their and intact, lock & keep are sadly gone & the glass inkwells are missing. The side drawer is missing it's drawer stop but the drawer is intact. It has its original leaves & hinges, they are not warped & fit well. There are no cracks in the lid (surprisingly). This slope would benefit from a little restoration (but not to much) it has a great original patina with some very old stains as shown in photos. I really wouldn't miss out on this as it has all the potential of being a desirable classy room decoration. Any questions gladly answered so thanks for looking & happy bidding.
UK Bidding Only (sorry)
Sorry I meant to say there are no major cracks in lid..... My apologies, it has a slight crack from the corner bracket of 9cm to the brass binding ( it is an easy non structural repair ) please don't hesitate to ask questions
