The length of this lens hood can be adjusted in 3 different stages to suit wide,  standard, and telephoto lenses.

The lens hood will shade the lens from stray light, improving your contrast and image quality and in inclement weather, it can assist in keeping moisture or wind-blown debris off the lens.
