Pulad, Mint Urdu. ND. rare  mint coin rare Size, mm:  14-16 weight, gr: 0.91 Pūlād (Bulat Saltan in the Russian chronicles) was a Khan of the Golden Horde for three years, 1407–1410, in the waning days of the khanate. He ruled as the protégé of the beglerbeg Edigu. He came from the Genghis dynasty. According to various sources, he was the son of Khan Timur-Kutluk or his brother Khan Shadibek. After the overthrow of the latter in 1407, with the help of Becklarbek, Edigei became the new khan. Together with him he began a policy aimed at restoring the power of the Golden Horde. Pulad Khan again forced the northern Russian princes to come to Sarai-Berke to obtain a label for the reign. In 1407, in a dispute over the Grand Duchy of Tver, he preferred Ivan Mikhailovich to Yuri Vsevolodych. In 1408 he granted the rights to the Prony principality and the Grand Duchy of Ryazan to Ivan Volodymyrovych. The latter, with the help of Horde troops, expelled Grand Duke Fyodor Olhovich and ascended the princely throne. In 1408, Yedigey's troops marched on the Grand Duchy of Moscow, which did not want to submit to the khan again. In 1409 the siege of Moscow began. Although Yedigey did not receive enough help from the northern Russian princes, including Tver. However, he managed to besiege the Grand Duke of Moscow Vasily I. At this time against Pulad Khan was Jalal ad-Din, the son of Tokhtamysh, who received support from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Under these conditions, Yedigey, taking a ransom of 3,000 gold rubles from Moscow, returned to the Volga. In an effort to strengthen the international position of the Golden Horde, he established diplomatic relations with Faraj al-Nasir, Sultan of Egypt, and Shah Rukh Mirza, ruler of the Timurid State. However, in 1410 Pulada was overthrown by his brother or cousin Timur Khan. Then, somewhere in the Don region, Pulad Khan continued to fight until he died in 1412. The Golden Horde, self-designated as Ulug Ulus, lit. 'Great State' in Turkic, was originally a Mongol and later Turkicized khanate established in the 13th century and originating as the northwestern sector of the Mongol Empire. With the fragmentation of the Mongol Empire after 1259 it became a functionally separate khanate. It is also known as the Kipchak Khanate or as the Ulus of Jochi. After the death of Batu Khan (the founder of the Golden Horde) in 1255, his dynasty flourished for a full century, until 1359, though the intrigues of Nogai instigated a partial civil war in the late 1290s. The Horde's military power peaked during the reign of Uzbeg Khan (1312–1341), who adopted Islam. The territory of the Golden Horde at its peak extended from Siberia and Central Asia to parts of Eastern Europe from the Urals to the Danube in the west, and from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea in the south, while bordering the Caucasus Mountains and the territories of the Mongol dynasty known as the Ilkhanate. The khanate experienced violent internal political disorder beginning in 1359, before it briefly reunited (1381–1395) under Tokhtamysh. However, soon after the 1396 invasion of Timur, the founder of the Timurid Empire, the Golden Horde broke into smaller Tatar khanates which declined steadily in power. At the start of the 15th century, the Horde began to fall apart. By 1466, it was being referred to simply as the "Great Horde". Within its territories there emerged numerous predominantly Turkic-speaking khanates.  As shown. Any questions please ask. ATTENTION:   Item is in Ukraine.
