CARVED OAK CARYATIDS A very decorative pair of early 20th Century carved oak caryatids - unusual in this height. They are well carved all round, without being purely flat cut on the rear as most are. Of large (25") height, these tall caryatids could be incorporated into many restorations/conversions such as mirror, headboard, cupboard, overmantle etc, or displayed as decorative stand alone items.  Date: early 20th Century. Condition: The terms are in good condition and are structurally stable.  They have a good colour and a subtle wax finish. Both have been previously drilled for fixing holes though the plinths and necks, these holes have been blocked with oak dowels on the front face and brown wax at the rear. Dimensions: Height: 63.7 cm (25")  Max width: 10.2 cm (4")  Max projection (depth) 7.5 cm (3") Weight: just under 4kg combined. Stock number: AC2162
