A pair of charming early nineteenth century transfer-printed blue and white soul bowls.
They are large, deep soup bowls in pale/medium blue and have very attractive floral borders with a circular framed panel of flowers and foliage in the base of the bowl. They display well and have been on the wall in my dining room until recently.
They are in good condition with no cracks or restoration. There is a bit of underglaze roughness to one of the bowl interiors, with some minor chipping to the top rim edge from use.
The other bowl has some minor wear around the rim edge from use and commensurate with age. Please see pics.
Both have signs of use in the base of the bowls, but it isn’t heavy wear and mentioned only for honesty purposes.
I bought them as a pair so am selling as a pair.
The bowls measure approximately 25.5cm
